All staff members extremely courteous, helpful & friendly. Staff gave us chocolates when they found out it was my husband's birthday and our anniversary. The restaurant, which serves classic dishes with a French influence, is in the cellars of the hotel.Pets are allowed on request and are charged at £20 per night. Nice 'The White Company' mini toiletries in the bathroom. We think we’ve found your location. The Grade II-listed Regency townhouse has a "pretty unbeatable" (The Daily Telegraph) location -- it's a 5-minute walk from the city walls
It felt like we had been segregated from normal diners, I feel annoyed that the menu was not the same, and this was misleadingLovely hotel food delicious staff friendly in walking distance from York town with so much to see, lovely comfortable beds could not fault the hotel at allThe 3 course fixed menu on first night was very limited,bread rolls rock hard and the toast with the pate also inedible.

Would definitely go back again.Friendly and helpful staff, very comfortable,clean room with large bathroom, excellent food, lovely ambience, would stay there again.Situated outside the walls, it is perfectly located if you want to drive to York, leave you car there and walk 5 minutes to the Minster. Apart from the niggles below the room was decorated beautifully and the linens were very good quality. Simply the best!Super clean room with a good supply of coffees,teas and biscuits. Our room (6) was next to the electricity source so the low level humming was an annoyance for my wife. The Grade II-listed property dates back to 1829 and is only a 5-minute walk from the city walls, in a location that York Minster, one of the largest medieval cathedrals in northern Europe, is 10 minutes' walk from the hotel.

Clean bedroom, great food, good service.Quiet room at the back . Unable to enjoy breakfast while worrying if our items were safe in room.
I would say the only improvement could be a more comfortable temperature in the rooms, we found it a little warm.Have veg with the meals, other than that it tasted great and we had a lovely break.Excellent service from friendly staff, fabulous food, great bedroom.The Grange was lovely.
