The girl, whose troubled background is never fully explained, shows a naked hostility to all around her but proves to be a very adept investigator. It's really quite ingenious in a rather basic way. Keeps you gripping the seat, not memorable but you won't be thinking about anything else when you're watching it. She thinks her anger and actions are justified and the film successfully encourages us to agree. I would recommend this film-don't let the idea of subtitles put you off, you hardly notice it and it doesn't detract from the film. Was this review helpful to you? If you don't find yourself totally rooting for Mikael and Lisbeth by the time this story gets rolling, you're missing a chip!Good movie, great series. First, to the people who dislike the “porn” in the movie. Lisbeth's character is so much more believeable, a bit warmer than the American version. It was directed by David Fincher with a screenplay by Steven Zaillian. In fact, the movie pays an amusing homage to NIN. Well acted and a good pace to it.
