Roger Phillip Sloan was born in Evanston Illinois in 1920 and passed away in his home ( Kennesaw Georgia ) in 2009 a widely exhibited artist ...Sloan was best known for his beautifully crafted wood items ... then later in life enjoyed painting examples of his wood art are shown in Fine Wood Working Design books and other publications of this type ; Fine Woodworking Biennial Design circa 1977 states Sloan and his wife of 62 years (Char) ... were also residents of Marcellus Michigan for a period via google we discovered an example of Sloans wood sculpture on exhibit at the Indianapolis Museum of Art (1980s) ...
