Zak Dorani is one That is Jack Scott speaking - the head of the federal agency that hunts the most dangerous criminal alive - the serial killer. (Read some true crime stories). I enjoyed the re-establishing and forging of relationships in this story.

I haven't read a series themed around clocks and horology, so this was new for me, and I'm actually fascinated by the subject now.

She learns that her grandfather was murdered in his shop, the killer hasn't been found and she is heir to the business. For thirty years this brilliant, twisted murderer has been methodically seeking out his helpless victims and slaying them. Another very pleasant surprise found while working my way through the TBR mountain. To be completely honest, I bought this book because the cover reminded me of the Coffeehouse Mystery Series' covers. I'm glad I did, because this was a very solid start in a series. To be completely honest, I bought this book because the cover reminded me of the Coffeehouse Mystery Series' covers.

Every characters have related to Ruth. Ruth Clagan inherits her grandfathers clock shop, the Cog and Sprocket, after he is murdered during a break-in at the shop. Was his death related to the recent burglary in tRuth Clagan is devastated to learn that her grandfather has passed away. The story really flowed, and it was difficult to put this book down.I absolutely loved this book! And even so, the setting remained the real star – the book opens literally right across the street from where I worked in high school, and not only remains in familiar territory throughout, but delves well into the sordid and relatively unknown history of Tobytown (a black community now twice displaced in the name of greed and racism).I gave this book two stars because I think ? This book should be read slowly, taking time to mentally note the details given by the author. Can't waiI loved this new series by Julianne Holmes. The Clock Shop Mystery series is sure to stand the test of time. But before she's able to see him, she receives a telephone call from an attorney who telRuth Clagan has just spent a week at a Vermont retreat, trying to decide what she wants to do with her life. Very likeable characters and a fast moving story. Zak Dorani is one of them. However, I remember it was quite good, quite disturbing, and I didn't sleep well while reading.Everything in this book is presaged at one time or another.

I would recommend this book for anyone. Progressive elements are threatening small town life in the Berkshires and the town of Orchard is having to take sides. She learns that her grandfather was murdered in his shop, the killer hasn't been found and she is heir to the business. As serious bookworms know, autumn reading is particularly rewarding. It seems like this mystery took a long time to set up and to get moving. Only once was he apprehended - by Jack himself - only to be set free in a mockery of justice that began a decades - long duel between a ruthless killer and the lawman who has learned to think like on. The mystery itself was weak with the murderer revealing themselves rather than it being solved. I'm so glad it did. the main character, Ruth Clagan, did not searching the truth about her grandfather has died by searching information around the small town. It quickly developed into a clear picture in my mind - a small town with charms I could understand, shops I would like to visit, scenery I would love to see, and people I would enjoy meeting. Goodreads helps you keep track of books you want to read. I wish this author had written ten books. As she reconnects with old friends and makes new ones, she begins to question what happened to her grandfather. The mystery is intelligent and credible, and reading this cozy is a great time!

Ok, I get it, it's a bummer. I really liked the town and the characters. While I love cozy mysteries, I am not a huge fan of the very fluffy ones based around very unlikely hooks. I haven't read a series themed around clocks and horology, so this was new for me, and I'm actually fascinated by the subject now. Stop in or give us a call if you have any questions. The strain it puts on the men and women who do it and the damage it does to them (and their families) balanced against the service they do in protecting us from the predators they hunt.A must read for anyone who enjoys Crime/Mystery/ThrillersIf you like serial murder mysteries... this is a GREAT oneThe book that hooked me on the true crime genre..........now 500 books later LOL. also, she had been searching the truth and her grandfather's deed by listening from people around her and neighborhood. Be the first to ask a question about Just Killing Time The characters, while somewhat... sparse, were people I wanted to know more about, although their motivations and histories were a bit trite. Meet Ruth, the perpetually late clock maker, and the inhabitants of the wonderfully charming Orchard, MA.
